Started in the 90s, this BMX band has since become a
prominent player in the industry. Down their memory lane, MARIONEXXES has gone
through plenty of maturing experiences; from losing their records in a
Singapore's police investigation to the arrest of their front girl, the band
has got it all. MARIONEXXES is one musically versatile band from Kassim
Selamat's melodies to current disco tech; the band has done it all. Comprising
of Piko (vocals) with back up from the various cabaret musician, their music is
one of the most original blends of melodies, adding a pointy uniqueness into
their artworks. nominated as Best College Act in The Voice Independent Music
Awards in 2008, in 2009 they win Grand Prize in Denim Music World which bring
them a wide exposure, yet in the same year they have been picked among
Malaysian artistes to join the first banner concert held under the flag of
Telekom Malaysia program called Everyoneconnect.net, the band released 'Sticky
Spoilly The poppycock' rehearsal in 1999 which had 3 hits within the local
indie scene; Jalan Dobi, Marilyn Monroe and Freshie From Boarding School, take
them 10 years until their first debut album 'Band Music X' in 2009 contains 16
tracks of the BMX band documentation. The band also chooses as one of Malaysia finalist
in Global Battle of The Band 2010. Begin 2011, their new hits Malay single
'Harimau Malaya' catches major attention from Nusantara markets include high
airplay in Phillipines, Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore. The band represents Malaysia at Bali Jazz Market
by the Sea Festival, one of the largest jazz festivals in South East Asia, in
early 2012. They have play in various countries, currently recording their 2nd
album which planned to be out on 1st quarter 2013.
